A New Year and Some Leadership Changes

On January 3, 2026, Haney's Cafe on Tamiami Trail South in Estero hosted IMRG 2037's first meeting of the new year. Membership thanked outgoing President Dick Draffone and Vice President (and formerly Membership Director) Skip Doody for their years of work on the leadership team. Membership Director Tracy Pryll presented "The Chief" with a plaque recognizing his efforts, sacrifice and accomplishments leading our riders' group since it was brought into existence over seven years ago. Activities Director Charlie Firtion was elected President and Ride Captain Travis Pryll was elected Vice President. Membership also expressed its appreciation to Skip Doody for his many contributions to the group, and we look forward to Dick and Skip remaining with the group for many years to come. We thank both gentlemen for a (sometime tough) job well done!

Incoming President Charlie Firtion provided an extensive overview into leadership's goals for 2026, including more frequent communication with members (e-mail and Facebook), encouraging more member participation in events and rides, and coordination with other Indian Motorcycle Riders Groups for events that benefit veterans and first responders. The web director is exploring e-mail blast options for ease in communicating with members and providing more timely updates.

Membership Director Tracy Pryll reads the inscription out loud as she presents outgoing President Dick Draffone with a plaque acknowledging his outstanding service to the riders' group and the appreciation of the group for his hard work and sacrifice over the past seven years.

The Web Director probably shocked the membership when he revealed that he has actually been working on the website, having made a renewed commitment to update and enhance it significantly for 2026. Here he points out some of the changes to the membership information page. Since there are no longer any "limited" memberships, the descriptions on the webpage must reflect the more streamlined approach to membership, membership rights and member obligations.
