From the President's Desk

April 25th was a busy day! First and foremost, the Chapter owes a HUGE THANK YOU to Bill Ziegelemeier, Mark Kroehler, and John Crowson. They worked and sweated while cooking and serving food for Bert's monthly Biker Pirate Bash. The event drew a larger than normal turnout.

The guys cooked and served 4-boxes of burgers (160 burgers!) and 2-boxes of hotdogs. I have no idea how many hotdogs are in a box, but it was definitely over 100 in total. We sparked the grill at 11:22 am and it was a steady line until we ran out of food at 2:46 pm. Bill's, Mark's, and John's efforts raised $210 for the Chapter! Riders' Group Treasurer Theresa Draffone says that's the most money the Chapter has ever raised cooking for the dealership.

I would also like to thank several of our members for coming out to say hello; Kim Beaudreau, Rick Paulson, Ruby Redheart, Jeff "Hawkeye" Taylor, & Darla Welna. I'm pretty sure that I'm forgetting a few - sorry. Kim is on the mend and hopes to be riding again soon.

Lawrence "Flaco" Fallas & Grace Fagan represented the Chapter up in Tampa at Bert's Buccaneer. They met Pat Cornell, Vroom Old Man at the start of his final leg of his 200K-mile ride for Myotonic Dystrophy. We also had four (4) members aboard Collier-Lee Honor Flight Mission 29. Skip Doody and Chris "Stormy" Beckel were Honored Veterans. Travis Pryll was Skip's Guardian and Dick Draffone is President of the Honor Flight Hub. Over a thousand Patriots were in the terminal at RSW to welcome our Veterans home!
